About The Barron Foundation

The Barron Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 41-2418788) based in Georgia. Our mission is to protect children in family courts and amplify the voices of protective parents across America.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, graphics, and the #HotPinkForChildren and #BarronStandard movement materials — is the property of The Barron Foundation and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may share our content for advocacy purposes with attribution. Commercial use without written permission is prohibited.

The following are original intellectual property of The Barron Foundation and may not be reproduced, imitated, or used without express written permission:

  • Family Ct. — the magazine name, masthead, publication concept, tagline (“for the mind, body, and soul of today’s protective moms”), green identity branding, and all editorial content
  • The Barron Standard — the name, concept, and associated branding used in connection with The Barron Foundation’s business partner program and movement identity
  • Hot Pink Signs / Hot Pink Day — the event concept, kit materials, proclamation templates, and associated movement materials
  • #HotPinkForChildren — as used in connection with The Barron Foundation’s advocacy movement
  • #BarronStandard — as used in connection with The Barron Foundation’s movement and business partner program
  • Family Court Awareness Month (FCAM) — the annual November campaign, including its proclamation templates, participating-jurisdiction records, campaign toolkits, and associated materials. Family Court Awareness Month was founded in 2020 by Tina Swithin and Sandra Ross, and was transferred to The Barron Foundation in November 2025, where it now operates as a program of the Foundation.
  • The Barron Foundation name and logo — including all variations and derivatives
  • All original written content — including advocacy materials, talking points, resource guides, and editorial content created by or for The Barron Foundation

The Barron Foundation bears a family name — the founder’s middle name, her mother’s maiden name, and a name carried across generations. It was chosen because of the strength of the Barron women — a grandmother and a mother who are heroes, and a lineage that stands for resilience, fire, and the refusal to be silent. It was chosen to honor that legacy, not to identify any specific individual. As the founder has said: “I stand with the blood of generations of Barron women running through me. Their strength. Their fire. Their refusal to bend. I was made for such a time as this — and so was this foundation.” Any use of the Barron Foundation name, Family Ct. magazine name, or associated marks for commercial purposes, imitation, or misrepresentation is strictly prohibited and may be subject to legal action.

Research Participation

Dr. Kreslyn Barron Odum’s participation in academic research — including Stage 1 of the ECCBS at the University of Manchester, Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health — does not grant any third party rights to The Barron Foundation’s intellectual property, materials, or programs. Academic citation of Dr. Odum’s participation in published research is permitted with standard scholarly attribution; commercial use, reproduction of Foundation materials, or representation of any affiliation beyond documented research participation requires written permission.
